Four new retail outlets are scheduled to open in Limerick City Centre in the coming weeks.

“Esquire” a new gents dress hire outlet is being opened by Dermot Noonan on Roches Street, as will ladies footwear outlet “Serendipity” which also currently trades in Adare.

International travel agency “Trailfinders” will open on Cruises Street with 15 new jobs created at the Travel Outlet which specialises in tailored travel packages.

Children’s fashion outlet “Kiddy Korner” also opened last week on Fox’s Bow.

“I would very much like to wish the new stores every success in Limerick City Centre” said Mayor Gerry McLoughlin.  “When you include the new job announcements for WWTS at Riverpoint along with the 70 jobs to be positioned at Patrick Street by our Economic Development & Planning Department this is noteworthy in terms of trading conditions in Limerick City Centre” said Mayor McLoughlin.

"I would like to take the opportunity also to wish the new retail outlets every success in Limerick City Centre” said Director of Economic Development & Planning, Tom Enright.  “I know a lot of work has taken place behind the scenes to make this happen with the Council’s newly extended Business & Retail Incentive Scheme central to the decision making” added Mr. Enright.

Next month the Council is expected to unveil an Economic and Spatial Plan for Limerick.

UK Town Planning Consultants GVA have been commissioned to prepare the plan which will set out a blueprint for the economic revival of Limerick City and County.
